(Page under development, card being worked on, will update as I go)

Seller Note “Card seems to power up (fan spins and the LED for the PCI-e power connector correctly illuminates red when there is no power connected and white when the pci-e connector is connected. But there is no display output, you just get a black screen.”
Summary
- Excellent condition with warranty sticker intact, reference design, cheap at £29
- This card is of interest, as I have another that works and another that is missing a cooler. So even if it turns out as scrap, it may live on as such. It might even be useful for the GTX Sea Hawk I want to make.
- Resistances
- VCore – 1.0Ω
- VMem – 4.5Ω! (Oh dear!)
- PEX – 72.8Ω
- 1.8V – 857Ω
- 5V – 1.9KΩ
- 3.3V -35KΩ
- 12V PCI & 8 Pin – KΩ++ very high
- Taking the card apart, it’s actually in really nice condition. If it turns out as scrap, I will take some comfort in that.
Investigating the very low VMem rail resistance…
Whilst 4.5Ω isn’t a dead short it is pretty low. Let’s try injecting 1v into the VMem rail and see if anything (fixable) get’s hot…
Ok.. sadly, as I expected, the core is the only thing that get’s hot with a draw of 1.5A at 0.9V. As a second opinion, powering the card on, we have a complete set of voltages. Well, at least the card is in lovely condition and I may have another similar card that could benefit from the cooler, plus some readings. It also looks like the memory controller part of the core is shorted, possibly the VRAM chips are not.
